Victoria State Sponsorship (merged threads)
Hi friends,
Can you please let me know if anyone has received Vic State Sponsorship approval for slots opened in sept 2011 ?
In case yes, how much was the lead time in getting the approval from the day of lodgement.
Regards

Re: Victoria State Sponsorship Approval
The website says 12 weeks, so it should be closer to that.

Re: Victoria State Sponsorship Approval
Understand that the website says 12 weeks and hence I was curious to know if anyone got their application approved before the standard lead time period.
Would be great if anyone can share their views.

If it says 12 weeks then 12 weeks is what it takes. Why would someone have their decision sooner? And why would it make any difference to your application?

Re: Victoria State Sponsorship Approval
Well guys, that was a question to the forum out of curiousity.
If you look at the ACS skills assessment, although it says the lead time is of 12 weeks, i received my successful ACS skills assessment in 8 weeks itself.
Hence the reason for the initiated thread

Cat 5, should I wait or should I apply for Victoria SS
Hey guys,
I am a category 5 applicant(176 Family Sponsored) waiting for the last 2.5 years, I'm wondering whether I should wait or whether I should go ahead and apply for Victoria SS
Since I applied before July 2010, I guess I still can apply for Vic SS and change my application to a SS application
Please give your inputs guys, I'm unable to decide
Thanks in advance

My input? Nope. Do not apply for state sponsorship. Keep waiting.

Sadly it's legal. It's also immoral but that not illegal either. Go for your life and I hope Victoria are very happy with your decision.
You've made me angry.

Contacting VIC SS..... HELP Please
VIC SS normally takes up to 12 week but mine has entered 16th week as of now (I am from HR Country).
My agent had lodged my application on my behalf and he says that your case is still under process.
I have application confirmation e-mail from VIC stating my REFERENCE NO and requesting not to contact them during the period of 12 week for inquiry.
Does it mean we can contact them after to 12 weeks if application is delayed like mine?
Can i send VIC an e-mail on my behalf? Will they entertain my personal query/e-mail or they would only answer my agent's questions?
Please assist
