Victoria SMP (merged threads)

Re: Victoria SMP Update
I dont think you require to submit your vendor qualification to VIC State because you would have already sumbitted for ACS assessment, more over if you submit the ACS result which will be sufficient for them to assess. However, one should apply ASAP because they mentioned like only first 4500 Applicants will be processed, if your case ID ends with less than 004500, you're on the safer side. It also depends on the number of years experience and the products&technologies you worked on.should show everything in our resume( within 2 or 3 pages-as per their resume format )
Thanks for your reply.

Guys (who already applied),
I've read the application guidelines many times. However, I didn't find the answer to my question.
Are you scanning original documents or certified copies of the originals? How about translated documents (certificates, diplomas)? Are they certified translations or not?
Thanks!

I saw the status of my application as "Received"... anyone knows usually how many days is the processing before I receive the results?

Re: Victoria SMP (merged threads)
I applied in April under 2231-79 specialisation in network security, and was rejected and offered chance to re-apply under RPL. I've now completed this, but my agent says we need to hold off sending the documentation until there is a clear code I can apply under as ACS and DIAC are currently in discussusions regarding the correlation between the old and new codes...I thought 263112 Network Analyst would have been relevant. Does anyone have any suggestions on a revelent ANZSCO code for network/security application? The VIC SMP doesn't seem overly clear. thanks

Have you got your skills assessed from ACS? if yes for2231-79 specialisation in network security; you can very well apply for SS to VIC. If not checkout what code its co-releated from IMMU website and apply for the same code to ACS.At the sametime, refer the eligibility list from VIC site-https://www.liveinvictoria.vic.gov.au/visas-and-immigrating/eligibility-lists, match your skill .make sure your new ANZSCO code is on the eligibility list and the apply for ACS

Re: Victoria SMP (merged threads)
Hi guys. Thanks for the replies. As I said, I had already applied via the ACS and got a rejection in April this year, but they offered me a chance to re-apply using RPL. This is all now ready to re-submit, but my agent is being cautious and advising to hold back my re-submittion until there is clear clarification on the ANZSCO codes that ACS & DIAC are apparently discussing at the moment. I guess I'm in a state of limbo, but also, I don't want to fail again because I have re-applied under the wrong code! I am going for state sponsorship with VIC hopefully, and judging by their new SMP, network/security people are ok.
