Victoria - Eligibility list changes! - (15 May 2009)

Eligibility list changes
14 May 2009
A number of changes have been made to Victoria’s eligibility lists, which detail occupations eligible for state visa nomination under the Skilled – Sponsored (176 and 886) and the Skilled – Regional Sponsored (475 and 487) visas.
Changes include the removal and addition of some occupations. Changes have also been made to the specialisations, particularly information technology, health and cookery occupations.
Victoria’s eligibility lists are regularly updated to reflect the skills needs of Victoria’s employers and we encourage you to check our website regularly for updates. Program representatives are continuing consultation with Victoria’s industry representatives to determine additional occupations that are in shortage.
Please note that:
assessment of nomination applications that were lodged up until close of business 8 May will be based on the previous eligibility lists
new applications for visa nomination by the Victorian Government will only be accepted for occupations that are listed on the updated eligibility lists
further changes to the lists are expected so please check our website regularly for the most current eligibility lists.
View the updates or download a copy of the new eligibility lists.

Revised Victorian SS Lists
As advised by Victoria in its newsletter today:
assessment of nomination applications that were lodged up until close of business 8 May will be based on the previous eligibility lists
new applications for visa nomination by the Victorian Government will only be accepted for occupations that are listed on the updated eligibility lists
further changes to the lists are expected so please check our website regularly for the most current eligibility lists.

Hi hun
I'm on that list too!! I think it just means we could apply for the temporary 475 visa or we could just choose to live there if we get our independant visa (slim chance of that eh!).
I'm still with you in visa limbo land and believe me I have tried everything to jump the queue to no avail
