Default Validating Visas

All,

Can anyone tell me if all family members have to be present to validate PR visas by visiting Oz or can one member do it on behalf of the others?

Also, I'm a bit confused; If your occupation is being fast-tracked, surely this means that the need for that particular occupation is great, therefore they would want you to move over ASAP. Does this mean that once your application has been accepted, you are required to move sooner than the 12month limit?

The reason for my enquiry is that my family and I are eager to apply before the points go up, and are planning to move over in 2004, however because we aren't selling our house here, we may be short of cash when the time comes to move, so it would make sense for one of us (if it can be done) to go over briefly to validate the visas and then we can move at a later date when we've got the cash together.

cheers

Every member who has a visa has to make the trip.

No, an application approved with MODL points will still be given the same time limit to make the first entry (that is the 1st anniversary of either your police or medical checks)

All those included in the application need to go to Australia to validate
their visas. Even if you are in a fast track occupation, you still have the
same time frame as everyone else.
