Is it valid application?
I have completed my Masters in IT on July 7, 2002 in australia and applied for 136 Independent visa offshore on october 29 2002. I could not lodge onshore due to an emergency back home. Is my application valid, considering the experience waiver for students who lodge their application with in 6 months of completion of the course. I read someone in this forum saying its only applicable for onshore students.
Please inform me, Thanks |

Doesn't that mean you lodged within 6 months of completing your master's degree? You should note the definition of "completion" as opposed to graduation or convocation. > Is my application valid, considering the experience waiver for > students who lodge their application with in 6 months of > completion of the course. Whether your application is valid doesn't only depend on the 6-month countdown. Read the Skilled Migration Booklet for more information, which you should really have done so before lodging your application and paying the fee. > I read someone in this forum saying its only applicable for > onshore students. It's also applicable if you intend to claim recent work experience waiver for certain skilled visas. Again, read the Skilled Migration Booklet please. Peter |

Hi Bruno,
A lot of people apply for the subclass 136 visa shortly after completing an Australian qualification and therefore take advantage of the six months work experience concession. Your situation seems quite normal. Just make sure that the ASPC knows where you are, for when they finally write to you.
