Default Using an AGENT helps ??

Just wondering, will your aplication move faster within DIMIA, if you have applied thru a Migration Agent ??

Using an agent, by itself, does not enhance your application. Neither will an agent be able to get you any priority processing that isn't available to any other applicant in your visa category.

However, a reliable and experienced registered agent may add value by preparing your application in such a way that everything that is needed is taken care of. That way, unexpected interruptions or delays may be avoided.

If your case is straight forward and if you're prepared to invest time, effort and energy into your own research, doing it the DIY-way is a possibility.

If your case isn't straight forward, and/or you loathe tons of paperwork, then using a migration agent's the way to go.

Hi ,

We did not use an agent....... I wish I had done so because doing it on your own is a very worrying process!!!! I didn't know about this forum and I only found out about the newsgroup last month.

If you browse through this forum you will find that we get a lot of advice from Alan, George and Jeremy (hope I did not get the names wrong!)
They seem very committed........... Whatever your decision, make sure that you use a MARA registered agent.

In the end - it's up to you. Good luck with your application.

Sylvie.

Hello,
I don't believe it will speed up the process just because of using the
agent....
BUT... An agent will help you to prepare all the documents in the best form
to be presented to DIMA - so you can expect no delays caused by missing
documents, requesting some more documents, etc.
I was using an agent for my temporary residency and using an agent for the
permanency residency now.
If you want to hire an agent you better do some research, but I believe it
will pay in the end. I found a good one in this forum.
My ACS - RPL application was assessed - positively - fairly quickly. It
would be much more difficult to prepare the RPL form without a professional
help.
The biggest advantage of using an agent is that they have a huge experience
with DIMIA, they know what DIMIA wants, what they should include, in what
form, what DIMIA or assessment authorities looks for,.... Experience and
know-how - that's what you pay for.
If someone is thinking about permanency residency, the money involved are so
high that paying a fee to the immigration agent is just a small contribution
to it.

I am also using George Lombard. Present status: my assesment was
successful/ application sent to DIMIA. He has been very helpful,
although I believe I could have done it on my own, he has provided
some usefull answers/tips/insights that I am sure have helped in the
approval of my assessment. To my knowledge he charges a competitive
price.

In the end is a personl choice, In my case I believe is the correct
one.
