Hello,

I am overseas & didn't go back to Australia after the first entry. Now I am planning for the move. However, I have been issued a new passport from my country. I want to update the passport details. I have already filled Form 929. Just a few questions.

1. In the form, its mentioned.
Does the applicant have an application in progress?
No. Visa currently held

(I have ticked the above option & mentioned the visa held as "CLASS VE RESIDENT SUB-CLASS 176". Is that correct?

2. After signing the form, I will put it in an envelope with the following.
Filled Form 929 + Old Passport Bio Metric Page + New Passport Bio Metric Page

And send it to the following address.
New South Wales
GPO Box 9984
SYDNEY NSW 2001

Please confirm if above is correct or am I missing anything? They require the passport copies which are attested or without attestation?

3. How long the department takes to update my details?

I can't see what you need helpwith, Form 929 is very easy. Answer the questions, supply the certified copy as requested on the form, and post it.

Unfortunately no-one can read minds so you will just have to guess at how long it takes for someone to update the system, but you can check your details on VEVO .

Yep its simple enough and you sound like you've done it correctly. I've sent off two of these forms in the last year for members of my family. Using Vevo to check, it seems to be pretty quick assuming everythings in order - the last one for my son took under 10 days
