Re: Unregistered advice - dangerous!!
Hi Exit 16
Hi. It seems as though you have been given conflicting advice which is confusing you and you don't know where to turn. You must be in a quandry. Are you 100% sure the advice your migration agent was incorrect? Maybe other people's experiences are not exactly the same (technically) than yours even though they may appear so on the surface. There is usually a pretty good reason that a migration agent would advise a client to do or not to do something.
The wonderful thing is that people can make their own visa applications and sail through without a hiccup. There are also the ones who don't make it which is incredibly sad. As you say in your posting, one false move and the whole thing will be rejected....it's sometimes very true. Some people that come into my office have been refused a visa on the smallest technicality. It is very sad and very frustrating.
Exit16, have you told your agent that you are worried about their advice or about the conflicting advice that you have received? Perhaps they can help you by setting your mind straight and showing you some evidence and reasons for their advice. If the agent refuses to provide reasons for their advice or to offer to help settle your complaint then you can always make a complaint.
