We had to strip down to our pants, (both of us). I (woman) also had to have a breast exam and the Dr checked to see if I was a woman!!! You'd think the C section scar would have been a giveaway! My husband had to 'drop and cough' too!!
So if you are worried about any of that, phone around the other panel Dr's to see if any of them are more lax.

I was allowed to keep my top on and underwear.......but did have to lift my top and bra up for the breast examination.
Maybe doc thought you were a bloke FA as doc didn't have to check if I was female........(too many stretch marks to doubt my gender....LOL) and we both went to the same clinic in Cardiff!!!!

My medicals were a breeze got Bp, abdo palpation, chest ascultation, bloods, urine and vital stats done and that was it, could have been done by a nurse. Few medical queestions and I was out in 10mins pure con at £150.
As for your wife having to strip, she could request a female escort to be present during the examination or you (husband) could also be present if that would make her more comfortable. If you want to get your visa, no choice really.

If she's worried about it just go to another doctor. I wasn't prepared to have that done so went to one which didn't ask you to remove any clothes or do a breast exam.

I didn't have a breast examination - my eldest daughter was that upset at the thought of getting undressed that he told her not to bother and just checked blood pressure etc.

We did not even have to take our shoes off! Full medical - fully clothed! :-)
I seem to remember reading that the breast examination is only necessary where 'clinically indicated'?

Our Dr was new to the job and had a huge DIAC guideline book on the desk and went down the list. Breast exam for women over 40 was on the list. I think some of the other Drs just do a quick job for the money....

I'm a bit worried... what do you mean the dr 'checked to see if you were a woman?' Are they allowed to do that?

In all seriousness the doctor cannot even touch you without your consent, however turning up to the medical, does imply presumed consent. So get your breasts out please, are'nt us British so uptight!
