Travelling to Oz while 175 in process???

My father is going on holiday to Brisbane at the end of November and is wanting to take my 14 yr old son with him.....so he can experience the country we are hoping to live in.

My question is.....Are there any restrictions placed on him travelling there whilst the GSM 175 visa application is in process, we applied on 11th August?? They will be travelling under an ETA visa.

Thanks:)

If its just a holiday dont bother, I just spent 3 months there, as long as you are not living there, as long as your place of residence is still the same, there is no need to do anything.

You can send a PLE with the information.

Its a good idea to tell them because if they decide to grant the visa whilst one is inside Australia, that visa will cancel the ETA or tourist visa - effectively leaving one onshore without a valid visa - ie here illegally.

She's a nurse on the CSL, so it's possible they could be asked to do police checks and medicals sooner rather than later.

Lala, I would simply send a post lodgement enquiry stating your husband's travel plans. It doesn't hurt to keep them updated.
