Default TRA and VETASSES?

Hi

We are applying for 175 visa through me as a teacher however, my OH is a joiner and will need his skills assessing in order for him to work in Australia. Therefore as he will not need the assessment for migration purposes does he just need the Vetasses? Will this be enough for him to work once we arrive? Nic

Hi,

We have just sent off documents to Vetassess last week as my OH is a joiner and requires his skill assessed as he will be main applicant when we finally apply for our visa. As far as i am aware if you wish to have your OH's skills assessed in the UK you must use vetassess, however if waiting until you arrive in Oz for his skills to be assessed i think its the TRA. Think i remember reading somewhere that TRA in Oz is less expensive than Vetassess in UK.
