Hi,
My husband is a welder. Agent sent off TRA on 20th April, they banked
the cheque on 8th May, got the e-mail from our agent today.
I thought that was pretty quick, we were not expecting to here until at
least the end of June.

Hi

We sent ours off nearly 2 weeks ago so was just wondering how long they were taking.

Good luck with the visa.

Not heard anything at all yet Joe? Do they send an acknowledgement of receipt or something?

Me too - it's a nightmare isn't it - feel a bit useless now it's out of my hands. Keep panicking that I've forgotten to do things.

Just got this off TRA website, so hopefully it won't be too long a wait:

Application Processing Times
From 1 January 2006, TRA introduced new processing times for all skill assessments.

Pre-migration applications where the occupation appears on the Migration Occupation on Demand List (MODL), will be processed within 10 working days.

Applications for Australian Recognition Trade Certificates (ARTC) and pre-migration applications in non-MODL occupations, will be processed within 60 working days.

Priority paid applications will continue to receive priority service within each of these categories.

These processing times are indicative and demand driven
