Is it possible to jump from a tourist visa to PR. How far do immigration look into it?

Don't understand what you mean.

If you are in Australia on a tourist visa and want PR you have to qualify for it the same as if you were offshore. Immigration treat the application just the same as regards verifying details etc.

I'm on a 12month tourist visa.
I'm got the things I need for PR (TRA & IELTS)

But before the tourist visa I have been on:
Working Holiday
Student

Do you think this might mess up my PR been a tourist for 12 months and been on a number of visas before.

No. If you qualify for PR it will be looked at as an application for PR. Just fill in the details of the visas you have been on before, when asked.
The only time that a problem might arise would be if you breached any of the conditions of one of the previous visas - eg if you had been working while on a tourist visa.
