Thank you
what visa? are you on the critical skills list? are you state-sponsored?

Thanks for the response, that helps. I may have to provide most of the docs from current employer as I am with my current employer from last two years.

Yasmin,

Nobody can really say. Initially DIAC said all CSL applications would have a Case Officer by the end of may, but it's fairly obvious that hasn't happened. Unfortunately you just have to hold on... I doubt it will be very long though. Just consider yourself lucky you're on the CSL... a lot of people who aren't on the CSL have already waited 18 months or more and there is no sign of getting a CO in the near future.

Well if this makes the string any longer or shorter then according to the beupdate website, this person was granted his/her visa today.

Username=syoleen
Visa Type=175 MODL Online
Application Sent=23/09/08
Occupation/Country=Computer Specialist CHINA
Agent=No
Meds=Sent
PCC=Sent
Case Officer=29/04/09
Visa Granted=19/06/09

There is only 7 more working days left until the next financial year so does it really matter . You would live longer if you stressed less about things that are completely out of your control .

Just my take on things.

In form 1276, it is written that department encourages to apply online and the process is also fast.

Can anybody just confirm to me that:

1. What is better. Apply online or courier.
2. Are there any difference between them
3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of both of these procedure.
4. If I apply online, do I have to scan the original documents or verified / attested photocopies of those documents.

Thanks in advance.

1. What is better. Apply online or courier-----online is better because it gets submitted at that point of time
2. Are there any difference between them---- online gets submitted at that point of time....courier takes 3 to 4 weeks to get get submitted and get updated
3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of both of these procedure.
online adv-- faster and flexible disadv---- i can"t think of one
courier----- more traditional way disadv----additional month of processing
4. If I apply online, do I have to scan the original documents or verified / attested photocopies of those documents.

1st photocopy the documents and get it attested and then scan it and send it online

Got ACS and MODL, Lodge Visa before July 1, what is the processing time?

Understand there is policy change after July 1, so i decide to get it lodged before July.

What is the difference between July 1 and after July 1

Unless policy is released from DIAC how come we will come to know? Might be you need to pay revised fees if you lodge after july 1

Default Slow visa approval rate

For the past many days I am observing that the visa approval rates have gone down dramatically. I saw another thread in which one application got a response that everything in his application was complete but he needed to wait till August for visa approval. Here is the response to my PLE:

Dear ABC,

Thank you for your e-mail about your visa application under Australia’s
General Skilled Migration program.

It appears that you have provided the documents requested at this stage.

There may be some delay before a case officer contacts you regarding this
application however no further documents are required at this time.

We appreciate your patience in this matter.

Is my observation correct that the visa progression has currently slowed down?
