Well That's it then for this financial year. I'd be very interested to see how much visa's were issued during 2008/2009 and how close they came to there quota. If anyone sees any stats from DIAC then please post here.

In response to PLE that i logged with DIAC, I recieved the response that
'My File has now been allocated to Case Officer' but since then it has already been 15 days and Status of my application still does not show 'Application being processed further' nor any of my documents status show as met.

Has any one experiened this before?

They don't always update status immediately - they have other things to do. Just be patient and don't send any more PLEs.

If CO would require anything, he/she would contact you. It would be better if CO does not contact you. That means you have everything in place. So, just wait. Just check your mail regularly, so that if an email drops in your inbox from your CO, you catch it.

what is this PLE that everyone says they are emailing.?

I submitted my application 20 days ago andhave not heared anything even though there are a few things missing from my form but thought I will just sit tight.

i loged in DIAC my offshore paper loged SIR -496 file with my WESTERN AUSTRELIA STATE SPONCERHIP AT 30 Aug-07

- paper loged file -30aug07
- case officer -november-08
- medical & pcc done- 22 Dec-08
- job verification done -06 Jan -09
- still wait for visa grant letter

any one in same line so just reply me i am in catagory no -2 so which time they issue grant letter

MODL only or CSL?

A few weeks ago I read that the granting of State Sponsored visa's where closed until October or so. There was'nt any specific reason though it's just how the processing during the financial year works.

I can't remember where I read it though. Try searching this forum or google.

Unless you have official DIAC documentation to prove that, I wouldn't go posting it on the forum as you'll only panic people unnecessarily!

The October rumor seem to be based on the last couple of weeks aspc updates which were originally mis-interpreted by some. They clarified the update now all it means is they have run out of 176 ss applications to process not visas. 176 and 175 visas are allocated from the same quota.
