Temp (Spouse) Visa To PR

Temp (Spouse) Visa To PR
Hi,
Does anyone have any idea of how long it takes to process - and if anyone's done it in Canberra?
I'm in Sydney and have just posted my PR application to Canberra. We lived there at first and I didn't bother to change the Processing office - they know we live in Sydney now, though.
So, it's been a longish process, but definitely nearing the end - I see PR as the ultimate result - I'm not too bothered about citizenship - though that may change if we find ourselves back in Canberra.
While I don't see it as a rubber-stamp process, I'm fairly confident of there being no problems.
My first post on the Immigration forum was 09/03/04 - a lot's happened since then - move to Canberra, birth of Little Galah, job in Sydney, move to Sydney, move to new house in Sydney...phew!
Best of luck to everyone waiting and doing it the hard way - I know I'm fortunate in having the Aussie partner option.
Cheers,
Big.

Re: Temp (Spouse) Visa To PR - Got it!!
Typically, on one of the few weekends we actually get away an important letter arrives...
I got a card in the post yesterday to tell me they tried to deliver a registered letter last Friday but no one was home. I must be, I thought. It was!!
Finally a Permanent Resident.
Timeline:
---------
04-Mar-04 : Started downloading forms
11-May-04: Sent in front loaded application (with medicals and police check)
21-May-04: Phone call from DIMIA in London to tell me Temp visa approved
15-Aug-04: Arrived Sydney
07-Jun-06: Sent in PR application
04-Aug-06: Letter to say PR approved.
Galah-tastic!
