There is no shortage of Primary teachers - except in difficult or remote
schools.
Supply/Relief teaching is available. Be aware that every State has a system
of Teacher registration of some kind - which requires that you have a 4 year
Education degree or a 3 year Bachelors Degree in any discipline, with a
postgraduate Diploma containing Practice Teaching components, and Education
studies. You also need a totally clear criminal clearance. No registration -
no teaching job in any capacity.
