Taking pets to Aussie - got any advice
Hello fellow migrants
It looks as though immigration to Aus is 95% assured. Problem now is my
pets, I have two cats and a German Shepherd. The idea of having them stuck
in a cage with (hopefully!!, You're relying on idiots who misdrect luggage
daily to top up the water along the way) only water for what will probably
be at least 24 hours doesn't sit well with me. Does anyone have advice and
or can direct me to information on taking pets on such an arduous journey,
other than the regular quarantine info provided by the aus gov.
Thx Mat

Hi guys!!!
I also ran a thread to find out about taking my dog to Oz but its on 'lifestyle and culture'. The thread is called Dog Export Fees. It should have all the info you need!! Its very recent so should help. Be warned exporting pets is expensive and prices have recently gone up.
Hope this helps, give me a shout if you need to know more,
good luck, Cheeky

Cheeky is right, have a look at the lifestyle forum, there have been numerous threads on there, with recommendations of several companies that will take good care of pets.
