Systems Engineer - Job Discription
 

Hi,


I am preparing documents for apply ACS. Currently i am working as a systems engineer and i am doing Infrastructure related deployments on Microsoft Platform. Mainly i am focused on messaging on Office 365 and Exchange. Since currently i am a systems Engineer i would like to apply for ANZSCO code 263111 - Computer Network and Systems Engineer.


What my doubt is in the ANZCO Employment Duties description it mainly focused about Network related activities. But my job description is somewhat similar but not mainly focused on Network. My Job description is mainly focused on server side deployments and configuration. As i have been told our job descriptions in experience letters should be similar to ANZCSO employment duties.


Should i forget my current job description and request experience letters according to ANSZCO or should make my normal Job description in Experience letter?


Do i need to change the duties in ANZCO or i can copy and same stuff as it is for the experience letters?


I would be really appreciate if somebody who is an IT Professional can help on this.

Not an IT professional, but your reference should match the work you actually do. I know there are a lot of duties that appear in more than one job description - you should check the requirements for each and match the work you do to the description.

You should match your job duties to right ANZSCO code. You might be called System Engineer in your company but not according to ANZSCO definition. So suggestion is to find the right job code and not to provide "altered" information.

Hi Kavindu,

I dont think you would fit in to 263111 as Your job is mainly focusing on System Implementing part, Not on to Network part (Cisco, Juniper and Etc..), For your role 262113 is the correct Code, But this is not coming under SOL, its coming under CSOL, So if you are applying with this, then you should apply 190, Not 189..But according to my understanding NSW or Vic doesnt nominate 262113 as I cannot remember I saw the code on their List, But all depends on How ACS sees your experience, I could see you are from Sri Lanka, By looking @ ur Name.


I can recommend you to contact an Immigration Agent with good experience in IT Field...

I agree with starwin
