Default sublass number query

Hi

I know this is probably going to sound like a really dumb question, but i've just got to double check

i'm applying for a spouse defacto visa - on the form do i put that i'm applying for the temporary 309 and also the permanent 100? I'm a bit confused as the application forms counts as an application for both doesn't it.

I'm filling out the aussie police check form and its asking for which visa sublass i'm applying for. I was just going to put 309 but am now a bit confused! Please help :-)

Out of curiosity, why are you filling up an AFP form if you're applying for an offshore spouse visa? Just asking to make sure you're not actually applying for the onshore spouse visa instead, which is a totally different set of subclasses.

If it's the offshore visa, putting 309 in your AFP would suffice (unless you're in a "long term" relationship which qualifies you for the 100 straightaway).

In that case, 309 sounds about right.
