Subclass 461 timing

Subclass 461 timing
My wife's 461 visa came through today, so we are definitely getting on the plane! 
Time from submission to grant was 9-10 weeks; we had an acknowledgement after 4 weeks with a request for a medical 
, did that within 5 days, and all's now fine. But I have a question about timing. I think the form has changed in July but in April at least I thought there was a section asking when we wanted the visa to start. We said early September, since we're flying then. We've now got the visa - a 5 year thing - with the clock ticking from today. Is there any scope, or point, to asking for a visa start date to be from September when we're actually going to use it?

You are one of the fortunate few that actually get issued a visa, be happy that you can go in September as planned. Congratulations, your new adventure starts now. Scary bit is that September is only seven weeks away, Christmas trees will be in the shops here from September 1st. Where has the year gone ?

Congratulations! Indeed not everyone have their own way in getting a visa as planned or as expected as your are one of the lucky ones. Cheers mate!

Indeed. I was thinking as I osted my original reply that some people just don't know how lucky they are.
