Stupid question
So we were allocated a case officer last Monday for our 176 visa and they requested a bit more info regarding my wifes work experience, she's the main applicant.
We sent that off last week and have today got the email requesting medicals and police checks.
So here is the stupid question, is there a specific website we should use to get the police checks done?
Cheers all

The website you want is the ACPO Criminal Records Office. You print out the application forms, fill them in & send them to Fareham with the correct fees. It's £35 per person for standard service (ten working days) & £70 per person for premium service (two working days). The prices are changing on the 6th August though & there'll be a new form from that date.

Re: Stupid question
The standard service will be fine, just let them know you have applied. Same with medicals get them booked within the 28 days (if that is what they have given you) and send them proof. They will wait beyond the 28 days for the actual results.
In other words don't panic as long as you can prove you have sent the ACPO forms and booked a medical within the 28 days you will be fine. Just let your CO know.

Re: Stupid question
Thanks for the info.
I've downloaded the form and will be sending it off tomorrow, got medicals booked for this Saturday.
So once I have uploaded the Meds and Police check how long do you think it will be till the visa is granted?
Woohoo getting excited now.

Re: Stupid question
Could be anywhere between unknown and unknown. It could also be refused. Just because they've asked for the PCC and Meds does not mean a grant is forthcoming. Not wishing to rain on your parade, just being factual.
