Hi Sunshine Sarn,
Give them as much info as you can on the CPv form.
Yes you will be asked to supply more relevant info when you have your medicals done.
Today I have made an appointment to have our medicals done and on the email that I have back from the panel doctors it says,
Hospital Records – We require copies of hospital letters from the GP file of
significant medical events within the last 10 years and/or of conditions which are under
active supervision..

Hope this helps

Regards

the assurer can definitely be a permanent resident - my sister is a permanent resident and is assurer for my mum - mums visa was issued last year

when mum had her medical she wondered the same about a hip replacement - she took with her to the medical copies of her xrays and relevant medical notes and also a letter from the specialist who did the hip replacement saying he didnt forsee any future problems with it. all this was sent in with mums medical - he medical was passed with no problem and she wasnt asked to undergo further tests. I think sometimes it is beneficial to provide the information in advance

He was below the threshold for 08/09 but will be above for 09/10. Does anyone know if they could still be joint assurers.
Also I was planning on using Jenny as my sponsor but she will not have any payslips for 09/10? So I guess this would be be acceptable. Has anyone else has a similar situation?
I get very confused by this sometimes so it is lovely when I see people moving up the line and actually arriving in Oz.
Thanks Moira
The income requirements are not relevant for your sponsor, just your Assurer. The wording from the AOS form is:

An assurer must reside in Australia and be:
• an adult (aged 18 years or over)
• an Australian citizen, the holder of an Australian permanent visa or an eligible New Zealand Citizen
• able to provide proof of income at or above the income test threshold for the current and previous financial year

I don't know the answer however to the joint assurers question. But the test is when the Bond is requested, so by that time will your son have the required 2 years' income?

As this is the CPV thread we can take as read that our son/daughter will have at least a permanent resident visa which is enough to be an assurer.

They need one full year's proof of income of at least Aus$37,000. They also need to show their next years income will at least match that amount. So you could have 13 months wage slips for the shortest time to apply. 2 years proof of earnings was the old rule. In practice they will have at least 2 years income by the time of interview.

If you use more people to cover the income amount the income figure increases slightly, it also increases with dependents.

Alan Collett updates the requirements on Go Matilda each year.

The earnings levels can be calculated from this site:
http://www.acacia-au.com/assurance_of_support.php

Based on recent activity with October applications, we are hoping that a CO will be allocated soon, so we have sent the link to the form to our daughter in advance to save a bit of time.

The form for AOS can be downloaded from here:

More information can be found on:

Might not be quite enough Les, apart from the income requirements, they need to actually reside there too it seems. Plenty of visa holders living / working outside Oz so it may be a factor for some applicants.

Interesting link, Acacia seem to suggest you need to earn $10,000 more as a married assurer than Go Matilda, wonder who is correct?

My last post suggested an income of over $37,000 pa was needed and I forgot to add that was for assurance of 2 parents. Around $25,000 is enough for 1 parent.

Steve could you up date the tracker my son went into Centre Link today and has organised the AOS it took 20 mins he was then able to go to his Commonwealth bank and fix the bond up with no problem, everthing was done in an hour.
The CO has said our meds are okay so Monday our son will send the police checks, form 80, our extra certified copies of the passports and any info he had to supply to the CO. ( sending by DHL at least you can track the post ) It is getting quite exciting.

Good luck to everyone else who are in the middle of this process

My daughter was my sponsor and is not working at all as she is currently a stay at home mum - the forms asks for her husband's employment status.

We are off to Auckland tomorrow night to get our visas evidenced! We have been in Oz for 10 weeks now and beginning to feel like we belong here, but unfortunately once we have returned to Brisbane on 29th Jan and validated the visas, its going to be head back to UK time for me on 2nd Feb, OH will follow once doc passes her for the long flight! We have decided that we need to recharge the coffers as they have become rather depleted what with exchange rates and other unforseen events and we feel we cannot take the step just yet. Main thing is we will have the visa and validated it, so have got a couple of years if need be!

Going to miss the 33c temps here today!

Cheers
