State child support on a temp visa?
Hi, Im expected to be granted my temp De Facto visa this summer and me and my Australian partner will be looking at moving from the UK asap.
If we decide to have a child in the first two years would I be entitled to any state support/benefit?

Have a look at the Family Assistance information. The payments you would likely be looking at are Family Tax Benefit (A and B), Baby Bonus, and maybe Rent Assistance. It depends on income with what exactly you would get.
The partner visa is fine for the above payments. Since the Human Services, Medicare, Family Assistance and Centrelink websites have been merged it's not so easy to navigate round to find out useful information.
