Stage 1 - Partner or Prospective Marriage Visa (300,309/100,820/801)

Hi guys,

New to the forum.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this visa.
Applied from UK, submitted and received in June. No contact from them since. How long before I should expect a case worker assigned?

I've been married to my Aussie wife for 7 years, together longer so we have shed loads of history evidence. But anything in particular we should focus on to evidence the relationship?

Advice gratefully received

What have you uploaded so far? Have you completed your health and character checks yet?

We've both done our ARCO checks but were then told by the immi office that we'll probably need to do them again later in the process after being instructed to by a caseworker as they are only valid for 12 months. Same agent told me to hold off on the health check until instructed to complete one by the caseworker.

Uploaded a shed load of info:

1) Photos over the years showing kids growing up, holidays, special occasions, etc.
2) Joint bank accounts, mortgages, joint utility bills
3) Wedding, anniversary, birthday cards
4) Phone records and travel evidence from before we lived together. Plus as much travel history evidence as we can find.
5) Proof of ID, etc.
6) Multiple supporters forms

Basically everything we can think of. Not everything we have as there would be too much.

Just checking there isn't something critical we've missed.

June this year? Be patient, the days of instant grants are long gone.

I appreciate the total time it could take. I was just curious how long it typically takes before you get notification that a Caseworker has been assigned?

You won't get notification that you have a CO You will only get a notification when they want something - like your medical or police check. If you only applied in June you may not hear anything until next year, I'm afraid.

While you wait, if your wife doesn't already have it, she should look at getting her UK citizenship, if you decide to return, the UK spouse visa is a right faff to get.
