Default Spouse too old to be included on 189/190?

Hi all,

I am eligible with 60 points to apply for one of the above visas as a HCP but unsure about adding the long term (8 years +) partner onto the application. He would have had way more points than me to apply for skilled migration but he is now over 50 and we couldn't apply before now really; we also have 2 dependents under 10 years old. I'm not yet 40 so can
Still work for ages.

So; my question is do I include him on my visa application or will the whole visa get declined due to him not being eligible for 189, Or will they offer another one for him while still processing mine? Or would We be better submitting a separate partner one for him at the same time?

I'm aware we should use an agent due to the added complications but would like some idea where we stand.

Nothing has been started yet as saving up towards the skills assessment, APRHA registration etc. Thank you!

You include him on your visa application. His age and skills are not relevant - simply that you are married or in a de facto relationship.

Ah amazing thank you I didn't realise he would still get a 189 alongside even though he would be too old if he was applying himself.

You know what they say... behind every successful man, there's a woman (but in these days, and times, I'm also happy to add: another man, if that's the way your boat floats ) - good luck!
