Default spousal immigration to australia

Hi,

I'm new to 'groups'. I was wondering if anyone had any idea how long
temporary residence (spousal) applications for Australia are taking
when being lodged in Canada at this time?

Any info or advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

We submitted my fiance's application to Ottawa towards the end of August and the visa was granted September 5. This was for common-law - we had no hassles at all.

Yes, it was completely front-loaded. We tried to send off all our documentation so it would get to the AHC around the same time the doctor thought the medicals would arrive there.

The doctor sent his results separately from your application? I believe
from other's comments some doctors won't do the med checks beforehand.
We'd obviously like to send everything off in one go to try and save
time, too, if possible. We found the names of 2 doctors close by on the
DIMIA website.
