Hi
Myself, hubby & 2 kiddies are emigrating to Oz on a 139 visa in january. My uncle is our Sponsor & AoS. Is it possible for my uncle to also sponsor my Sister, her hubby & 2 kid's, but find another AoS from someone else??????
My sister has spoken to a agent who say's because my uncle lives in an Designated area he is able to sponsor both myself & my sister but we are not sure if this is correct or not.
Anyone got any help or advise, pleeeeeaaaaaassssseeeeee

Your uncle can sponsor more than one person for skilled designated area sponsored, as long as another assurer is available.
However, DIMIA may request evidence he can meet multiple sponsorship obligations. This should not be a problem if, for example, it can be demonstrated that you have settled well in Australia and don't require his assistance in terms of accommodation or help in finding employment.

Hi Jeremy
Thank you for your reply, see the problem is we go in January 05, we will stay with my uncle, until hubby find's work (he is a Massage Therapist/Soccer Coach) so hopefully will find work asap, but my sister want's to get the ball rolling in a few months time, as her hubby is approaching 40 years, so age becomes a problem.
So basically, once we have moved out & standing on your own two feet there should not be a problem with sponsoring my sister (is this right) what happen's if my sister applies but we are still living with him (he also has 2 unit's) would this go in my sister's favour.
Hope this makes sense, thanks for your help

For subclass 139, turning 40 is not a problem as there's no points test (the age bar kicks in at 45). However there is always a risk of the designated areas changing or something, which would mean having to fall back on subclass 138 which is points test.
Best I can suggest is to get some good professional advice if your sister wants to apply before you are clearly settled in Australia. Also bear in mind, that if an application from her was refused on this basis, it would not prevent reapplication later on.
