New Interim occupation list of SA
Hello Everbody,
Today SA has announced their interim occupation list for which they will issue SS untill SMP announced. Should we consider this as a base of upcoming SMP list...or that can even change further..
Unfortunately my occupation is not there... im really feeling sad...

Re: New Interim occupation list of SA
My occupation (Electronic Engineer) is also absent there. I am disappointed.
I am worried whether, it will present in final smp or not and when will be the smp published?

Urgent help needed regarding SA interim occupation list
Recently, SA published interim occupation list for SS on temporary basis until new SMP. In this list Telecommunications network Engineer(263312) is present but Electronics Engineer(233411) is not available.
According to SOL sch4, Telecommunications network Engineer(263312) can be mapped with Electronics Engineer(2125-13).
Now, my question- shall I be eligible to apply for SA SS in 263312 category with assessment in 233411? I would be very greatful if you help me in this regard.
It is mentionable that I have been assessed in Electronics Engineer(233411) by EA but my job experience is in mobile telecom field. I had applied to EA when new SOL list was not available where 263312 is newly introduced whereas Telecommunications network Engineer was not available in old SOL. So, if I would apply after new SOL, I would definitely mention 263312 as occupation category in skill assessment form during application and would get assessment accordingly.

I assume you need state sponsorship to meet the points?

Re: Urgent help needed regarding SA interim occupation list
What the SA Interim List says is as follows:
The following list includes occupations that Immigration SA will consider for Sponsorships until the State Migration Plan is
implemented. The occupations listed below reflect general skills shortages in South Australia and do not relate to a specific
job vacancy, nor represent a guarantee of a job in a specific occupation. State Sponsored migrants must compete with all
people in the labour market as part of the normal competitive selection process.
ANZSCO / ASCO – If your skills assessment has an ASCO code, please visit the DIAC website to check DIAC’s Endorsed
ANZSCO / ASCO correlations - http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/_pdf/sol-schedule3.pdf
I think that's quite clear about how the ANZSCO code is selected. Note however that SA are not taking applications currently - their application form is down.
Cheers,
George Lombard

In SOL sch3, Telecommunications Engineer(in ANZSCO) and Electronics Engineer(in ASCO) are correlated.
But my skill assessment is in Electronics Engineer(in ANZSCO). I applied to EA before 1st july when Telecommunication Engineer (in ASCO) was absent in SOL and got positive assessment after 1st july thats why it is in ANZSCO. You are trying to say that if I would get the assessment before 1st july, then it will be in ASCO and I will be eligible for Telecommunication Engineer(in ANZSCO). Difference in one day(before and after 1st july) should not change my skill that I have.
I think DIAC and immigration SA are not so stupid that they will not realize the fact.

I am an accountant applied under ASCO 2211-11(accountant) in Jan 2010. Now if I intend to apply for SMP for SA, Can I apply for Management or Taxation Accountant? As they map to ASCO accountant as per the ANZCO - ASCO correlation pdf? provided, I satisfy other conditions?

Re: SA SMP (merged threads)
Has anyone got the positive nomination according to the new rule (new intern List)????
What is the average old processing time for South Australia nomination???
I was asking the question because South Australia is not showing any timeline for the process.
