South Australia NEW Occupation List - October 2009
Hi All
I've just looked at the new South Australia Occupation List October 2009 and my occupation has been removed. I applied under the 475 scheme before the September 23rd visa changes - if my nominated occupation is no longer on the list am i still eligible or will i be refused if or when they ever look at my application? Can anyone offer any advice please?
Thanks, any help greatly appreciated.
regards

Hi Rain,
If you read the South Australian documentation closely I'm confident it will say somewhere that your nomination is still valid, however I'm not at all confident that under current arrangements there will ever be consideration of subclass 475 applications again, in fact by rights the entire program should have been frozen for new applicants on 23 September.
Strangely, the only 475 applications likely to be granted in the next two years are those whose applications were refused and then had appeals upheld by the MRT. So perhaps you'd be better off finding some way to get the ASPC to refuse your application lol.

are you saying that you think that there will be no more succesfull grants for 475, apart from appeals, even for applicants who have submitted before September 23, even if they have submitted all docs, meds and police checks?

I said I wasn't confident; if you look at the numbers then you'll see why.
FWIW I was talking to a potential employer in your field yesterday, I'll be happy to forward your CV to him in case there's a sponsorship option.
