Default some light for accountants?

there is a rumor that Accountants in Australia with final semester finishing in June/July can get skill assessment without IELTS requirement from CPA until 31 August under the special circumstance.
Can anyone verify this? thanks

I would be inclined to believe the published information from CPA rather than a rumour. There is no mention of such an exemption on the CPA's website I am afraid.

Hi,

I have applied for NT SS as an Accountant, and there was a question about occupation licencing. I have not found anything about this requirement on the net, unless I missed something...

What about other States? Does Accountant must be licenced in order to get State Nomination? And If so, where I must apply for this licence?

Thanks...

No, it states about Australian licence. It is very strange, that I can not found anything about licencing in this forum, thus it probably means, that licencing is not required. But why then there is a question about it in application form?

Guess if a state is about to sponsor you it could be useful information for them to know if you already have the license or not. Even if it's not a requirement.

I think they are asking about membership of one of these bodies; National institute of Accounting, CPA or Institute of Chartered Accountants
