Default Skills Assessment - validity

Hi,
If a person gets a positive skills assessment from VETASSES, then how long will this skills assessment be valid for migration purposes- assuming there is no change in circumstances ?
E.g.
If I get a positive skills assessment from VETASSES on 1st September 2004, will this assesment be valid , say, until December 2004 when I apply for migration and if the nominated occupation is still on the Skilled Occupations List (SOL).

Thanks for your time!

Hi Rinali

Yes

Our vetasses was done Feb 2003 but didn't put main application in until September 2003 and it was fine

I'm not sure now how long the assessment is valid for, perhaps you could do a search.

As far as I am aware, VETASSES does not have an expiry date, as it is based on qualifications that, once been awarded, cannot be taken away!

Hit the nail on the head! Skills assessments do not have a 'best before' date!

Good luck!

Correct for Vetassess, TRA and IEAUST.

Not correct for ACS (usually limited to 1 year) and the accountant assessments (5 years).
