Hi
I'm looking for some tips regarding the writing of a CDR as a civil engineer in construction. Is there anyone who has a succesfull assessment by Engineers Australia who can let me know the most important things to mention? Or maybe can provide me with an example? I just don't know how and where to start...
I have a Belgian degree, now recognised as a masters degree, freely tranlated as '(industrial) construction engineer - option construction'.
At this moment I am a project leader with several projects at a time such as a hospital, social units complex, fire station and busstation (all at the clients side). Before this function I had a function with only one project at a time, where I did mainly road construction, a water purifications station, and a piece of the high speeds train traject (tunnel).
Does anyone know if I a make a good chance as a civil engineer? If not, it stops for us 'cause we don't have enough points then (we'd rather not go for a state sponsored visa for several personal and family related reasons).
Kind regards
PS In Belgium a civil engineer is a higher degree then an industrial engineer. Both studies lead to a master degree but civil is 5 years and industrial is 4 years.
I understand the Belgian civil engineer (which comes in different specialties) is not what Australian Engineers refers to as civil engineer? Am I correct if I understand a civil engineer is a construction engineer who does civil constructions (as the things I do, mentioned above)?
