Default skilled assessment

Hi there
My husbands a chef (15 year 6 of these in the RAF) and I am an Accounts
Administrator for 2 years with an HND Administration and information
Management. I have just printed off the TRA for my husband to complete
and am hoping to migrate on his occupation as mines are not on the
list. Do I still have to complete a skilled assessment form and would
we get extra points for my Higher National Diploma. Would be grateful
for any help.

tra is a very hard process as many on here will tell you, it isn't a case of just filling the form in, i suggest you do a search on this forum for tra and the info required to pass it, our tra application weighed nearly a kilogram when we sent it last year so it shows how much you need to provide, we were lucky we managed to pass it without an agent, but if you aren't sure about it, i would ask on here about reputable agents as many fail.
secondly, they will only count spouse skills if they on the sol list and they will get you an additional 5 points

Hi Leigh

You may be able to apply for a skills assessment from Vetasses

It depends on what Visa you are going for - if its the skilled independent 136 then - you could in theory claim an extra 5 spouse points, not sure about the others - thats what we are doing.

I got my TRA assessment with an HNC Computing but had 8 years experience working in my chosen skills area.
Do a search on this forum and see what route other people have chosen - try keywords suck as - TRA Chef and SKills Assessment-

Many thanks, I was wondering do you have to post a new topic every time
you want to ask a question?
