Anyone had any recent experience with SIR for Queensland. We are thinking about this route because i'm lead to believe it is quicker, is this true. I understand all the restrictions it places but in all honesty, it cannot be any worse than the hell we are going thru with USA visas. We just need to get our of here (USA) ASAP, before my hubby has a complete meltdown.

Hello,
SIR visas are generally processed quite quickly however depending on
your and your husband's skills, qualifications and work experience you
may be eligible for other types of visas that also receive priority
processing but don't have the same restrictions.
Queensland has a list of occupations they will sponsor - if you or your
husband doesn't have one of these occupations you cannot apply for an
SIR visa for Queensland.
I am an Australian Registered Migration Agent
(http://tinyurl.com/h6cnk) working in London. If you email me your and
your husband's CVs I would be more than happy to assess your
eligibility for Australian residence visas and provide you with
strategic advice moving forward.
Kind regards,

You've got to be a lot more specific as to what you mean with the hell
you're going through as it relates to the SIR visa.
