should we inform DIMIA? got PR 2 weeks back and now wife is pregnant!

Default should we inform DIMIA? got PR 2 weeks back and now wife is pregnant!

Dear All,

We got our PR 2 weeks back (myself and wife) and came know that wife is pregnant.


We are planing to move to MELB in the month of September and should we inform DIMIA about this ????

First, congratulations!

If you already have your PR, there is no point in informing dimia.

As I understand it, if your baby is born outside aus, you will need to complete a separate application for dependent child migration. If your baby is born in aus, then it will have aus citizenship automatically i think - JAJ or someone similar should be able to confirm this.

Hope darren is right but what about securing finanncial help from au government>?

You've already been provided with the Centrelink website - I suggest you start researching from there.

In order to migrate successfully, you are going to need to be very resourcesful and self-reliant.
