Question should we apply now?

Hi,

My husband (an accountant) and I (teacher) were going to send off our EOI for the sub class 189 using my husband as our main applicant. We were going to wait for my teaching qualification assessment to come back from the Australian assessment authority (possibly another 10 week's) before applying, as that would get us more points. However my husband has enough points without it. Having read the thread about possible changes to the SOL and how accountants may be taken off the list we are now unsure what to do. Should we apply now without my assessment? Or wait for it? Or is it better to apply under me, is teaching safer? When does the SOL change?

Would be very interested in your advice,

Thanks

Hi netts03,

If you lodge your EOI now, you can always update it later if you haven't received an invite by the time the teaching assessment is received.

There has been talk of accountant coming off the list for as long as I can remember. If you are ready to go with your OH, I would just do it. To be honest, hopefully you did it yesterday and saved yourself a lot of money!
