Default Shipping the cats our to Perth

Hi Guys

We have finally sold the house - Yay! Well, subject to contracts etc so
still keeping our fingers crossed :)

We need to start looking at taking our two cats out to Perth but I
understand that there is a 2 - 3 month delay/leadtime for the
quaranteen station in Perth.

This means potentially, we may need to leave the UK before the cats!

My question comes in two parts really,

Firstly, anyone able to recommend a good company that they have used
themselves to ship their pets?

Secondly, could these companies provide a door - door service
collecting the cats from a cattery in West Yorkshire, transporting them
to the UK airport and flying them out to Perth.

Thanks for any input in advance

Regards

Mark

No useful info I can give you I'm afraid, but I'm interested in any replies as we've got a dog AND five cats!

Cheers

Our company uses airpets, who are based just outside of Heathrow.
They are fast, reliable and very informative.

Hi Mark

We are using Airpets - have heard rave reviews of their professionalism.
They are picking our 3 cats up from Newcastle and Taking them to Heathrow - flying them to Melbourne and have given us a quote to have them delivered to Brisbane when we get there.
Costing £2500 to get them to Australia - we then pay AQIS about £800 after quarantine. They have done all the paperwork and all we needed to do was get them microchipped and Innoculated and boosted against Cat Flu and Entiritus.

Local company over in Aus will collect them from Melbourne - fly them to Brisbane and deliver them to my Aunt and Uncle in Ridgewood - for only £250.
Domestic air transport in AUs is extremely cheap - it seems that Richard Branson has single handedly economised Air Travel.

Good luck with whatever you do - As for the Idiot who said he'd give you a recipe for a dog : well mate - if you have nothing to say that is useful please don't bother wasting peoples time.

Thanks for the info, this sounds exactly what I was looking for, we've
already had the cats Chipped, they just need the docs, final jabs and
some way to get there :)

I'll do some more research on Airpets, in the meantime any addition
(relevant) stories or recommendations would be appreciated!

Regards

Mark
