Question Sending Off Visa Forms & Doc's

Hi
Can anybody tell me the best way to send all the Visa Forms & Doc's off to Aus?

1.Iv'e hear people using a Courier service...if so which one?

2. How much does it cost?

3.Also does the Courier supply something to put everything in?

4.Do you take it to them or do they pick it up?

5.And i know they tell you to not put docs in a plastic sleeve, but what harm can that do...at least it will keep everything together and protected?

Gonna be sending our off tomorrow so we need to decide pretty quickly ..lol

Cheers and thanks for your comments

We've used UPS with success several times on this saga. Ring them and they will tell you the best way of getting the stuff to them - probably take it along to their nearest depot. They give you an online tracking # and you can monitor where it is, and even who signs for it at the other end!

I used DHL last Friday. it cost£45 but I think worth it for peace of mind. They will pick the documents up from your front door. i phoned them in the morning and they collected at 4pm. Not sure about other courier firms though. perharps do a search.

Good luck

I used good old Royal Mail 'International Signed For'. Most packs I sent only cost about £5, and all got there within 5 days. I just put everything in a jiffy bag, didn't bother with any plastic sleeves and took it down to the Post Office. You get a tracking number but once it's been handed to their overseas delivery service that's as far as you get as far as tracking on-line.

I've been sending stuff to our relatives in Oz for many years using this service, along with all my stuff for ACS and DIMIA. Excellent, IMO.
