Scottish Police Check
We have lived in both England and Scotland, now living in England. I have just found out that what we should have done for the police checks was apply to Scotland for the check as this checks for both Scottish and English convictions.
We have already sent off Form A96 to local police station and paid the £10 fee, but they don't have the facilities to also check for Scottish convictions, nor are they able to forward the forms to Scotland..... after many phonecalls to various police departments we have concluded that we now have to send off more forms to Scotland.
To anyone out there in similar situation, to save yourselves a little bit of money and a lot of hassle, best to apply to Scotland for police check and tick boxes for both the Scottish and English checks!
