SA Commitment Statement
Hello All,
I'm at the point where I am now ready to make my online application to SA but I'm confused already!! It states: 'Please outline reasons for choosing South Australia as a migration destination in your own words (max. 200 words each)' 200 words about each what?? What should I include?? Thanks in advance for replies :) |

Thanks in advance for replies :) Fortunately 200 words is only half a page. All I can suggest is that you think of it as; your English teacher has given you an end-of-term paper. It needs to answer this question: You've decided to move to South Australia. Why? What does it have to offer? What will you do there? Be positive. Initially just write down all the facts you know about the place and all the facts about how you will live and work there. Then weave it all into an essay that answers the above. I wish you luck. Hopefully someone will be along with something a bit more concrete for you. Thinking up the first sentence is the worst! :) |
Re: SA Commitment Statement
Thanks for the reply
I'm still confused about the: Max. 200 words each At first I thought it was a 200 word statement but because of the word 'each' I'm thinking that there may be three or four sections so in total 600-800 words? It isn't very clear (unless I'm missing something) :) |
Re: SA Commitment Statement
Can you post a link to the question? Maybe a few different sets of eyes could get some answers for you. :)

Re: SA Commitment Statement
Its a part of the online application form (you need to register before seeing it)
You fill in the other details on the form and then under the heading 'Commitment' there is a text box with 'Please outline reasons for choosing South Australia as a migration destination in your own words (max. 200 words each)' above it :) |

Re: SA Commitment Statement
After you have filled one reason why you want to move there (with up to 200 words) you can then add another reason for moving there, then another and so on. Hope this helps.

Thanks in advance for replies :) We want to move to South Australia because I've heard the men are really hot and I appreciate hot men (expanding up to 200 words on the topic of hot men) Further we want to move to SA because we heard there are no bogans there and God knows bogans all need to be held down while us upper crust types shave their mullets (expanding up to 200 words on the topic of mullet wearing bogans) In addition to hot men and mullet wearing bogans the job prospects for igloo designers are second only to those in Tuktoyaktuk (expand using job ads, etc on how you came to this conclusion up to 200 words) |
Re: SA Commitment Statement
Thank you all. I'm just starting to write up a draft copy now. I know I'll end up writing the thing at least 20 times!
Thanks again :) Ps Dorothy I once entered the words 'Sexy Australian Men' in google. Why else do you think I'm moving to the other side of the world! haha :D |

Re: SA Commitment Statement
I'm guessing that means you should write about 200 words for each point you make. Think about why it's a great place to live, leisure, work etc and write 200 words for each point you make. Hope this helps!
