RRV with a Job Offer Letter
Hello,
I am posting this thread as one of my friend asked me to do so. It is a question on his behalf.
He went to Australia 2 times only (with around 15 days each) in 5 years he got for the visa. It has been about 1 year now since his 'Enter Before' date was expired.
Recently, he got a job in Perth by giving an interview on Skype. He has the Job Offer Letter now. He is asking whether he should apply for an RRV and would that be successful considering the job offer he has?
Thanks for help.

Re: RRV with a Job Offer Letter
Think you will need to be a little clearer. When was his visa granted, and when did he first arrive in Australia?
If he has let the travel part of his visa expire (which I assume is the case from you saying it has been 1 year since enter before date), then he needs to make an application for a RRV and use the job offer and any other ties he has to Australia. He may get an RRV, he may not. A job offer with certainly help, but there are no guarantees.

Just to clarify the must enter before date is usually the first entry date a year from meds. The must not enter after date is the travel expiry date, 5 years from grant.
Please clarify as above the grant date and the 5 year expiry date.

His visa expired an year back. So, it has been now 6 years since he got the Australian immigration. Last time he visited Australia was 2 years ago.

So he does indeed need to apply for a RRV - a job offer is a good start. Any other ties like family, financial ties, or anything else should be put in the application. He will either get a one year RRV or he won't - we can't predict I'm afraid.

One year RRV is not the only option, might only get a 3 month one, if any RRV at all. But fact remains, only way to know is to apply.
