Re: Round 2, Ding Ding..

Just noticed there are 2 types of WHV:
Working Holiday visa (subclass 417)
For people from Belgium, Canada, Republic of Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan and United Kingdom.

Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462)
For applicants from Chile, Thailand, Turkey and the USA to holiday and work in Australia.

The timeline I gave you is for the 417. For 462 it's 48 hours.

You should go here: http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/work...sa-options.htm

And see processing times under 'after you lodge you application' when you click either subclass.

Hi, it can take up to a month if you aren't straight forward. My daughter has epilepsy, so had to have a medical which costs extra, and that showed a urine problem, which also had to be checked out. The latter seems a common thing that shows up, and wasn't anything luckily. Then everything has to be approved. Hope your application is straight forward. Hers was approved.

My sister applied for a WHV from the UK (around May last year admittedly so things may have changed since then) but she submitted online on the Sunday evening and received an email of confirmation of her visa grant the next day !

Good luck
