We are putting our faith in Crown Relocations. They have quoted 3 days to pack up our house, as they "want to do it properly". Let's hope it all goes to plan. They were also very competitive on price.

Hi Em,

We are dong fine. Settling in really well. The kids really love school here, they have come along in leaps and bounds and our eldest really seems to find school alot less stressful.
I have joined the PTA and we have made some really good friends and had some good nights.
We had our 1st lot of visitors last month and are on our 2nd lot now. Hopefully a last going to see some of NZ with them over Easter, weather permitting going on a helicopter trip to see Franz Josef Glacier.
How are you? Are you settling into your new house yet?

We also used PSS and our belongings arrived on Tuesday, everything was fine and nothing broken.
The packers in the u.k were great and friendly too, also the guys from Kents in Perth were great this end.
One thing to remember make sure you clean all shoes well before they pack them as We lost 3 pairs!! The quarantine people do inspect!! Would have cost a fortune to have them sprayed so we chose to have them destroyed for free.

Sharon,
Sorry to sound stupid but who are PSS? is there a website?
How much (cubic Metres) did you ship to Perth? How long did it take? I assume it came into Freo and then "Kents" delivered it up to Ocean Reef for you?
Im in Cottesloe but havent moved my stuff over from the UK yet...

Hi Steve

Try www.pss.uk.com and get a quote off them.
Our total was £3,213.63 for a sole use 20' container this was to ship the entire effects of a 4 bed house including all electrical items and kids garden toys, Hubbys carpentry tools and ladders etc. everything really you would expect to gather up over the years! We did have to pay an additional sum to Kents when Our stuff arrived in Freo (around £150 ish)
Took 6 weeks from the day the guys packed to the arrival in Ocean Reef.
This price included packing in the u.k and unpacking in Aus. Nothing got broken, would highly recommend PSS.
Hope this helps

What was the additional £150 for (for Kents) we have been quoted inclusive of ALL CHARGES in australia except immigration extra charges?

Just dug out the invoice from Kents and total price was $374,00 inc. GST, for Quarantine examination fee.

thanks so it is the same as we have been warned about. They told us that the cost from the immigration boys is centered on the time they take for their inspection.
