Reference Letter for ACS (MODL)

Hi All,
I want to apply for ACS assessment for 2231-79 (Java Specialist).
Kindly guide me regarding summary of experience so that i can get easily ACS assessment for MODL. I have been working in J2EE since last 1 year and 6 months. my profession is also in CSL and MODL. i want successful MODL assessment. what should be written in my exp letter that justifies assessment officer that i have sufficient exp in j2ee and i fall under MODL.

The exp letter that i have taken from my company states clearly that i have been working in J2ee based financial application and i am invloved in full life cycle of its development process. and i am adept in technologies like Spring, struts, JSF (Rich Faces), hibernate etc.
is that sufficient to get successful MODL assessment?

Thanks in advance.

You need to get reference letter from your manager stating you job duration, Fulltime/PartTime, Position Held and detail of some Responsibilities, Project Information, Roles & Responsibilities in each project and Software and Hardware you used in each project
Where are you from?

Since you haven't mentioned anything, I am assuming that you are well aware of the qualification requirement as well as experience requirement (4/6/8 yrs, depending on circumstances), and you satisfy them all? This is required even for normal skill assessment with ACS (without MODL, that is).

For MODL, your exp letter (covering at least past 1 yr exp) should describe your start date, end date, part time/full time , contract/permanent employment. A clear designation and role. At least five job duties (to be safe),and these job duties should explicitly depict that you have extensively worked in the MODL category claimed.

@supriyag123
Yes i fullfils other requirement and i have 4.5 years of experience in software development. My exp letter has start date only coz this job is still going on. Letter states that i have worked on j2ee based financial application and i worked on it from analysis, design, development, documentation to maintenence. i also worked on its evolution (new architecture designing) by upgrading it to spring, jsf and hibernate framework etc. also worked on its version for PDA. and i am adept in technologies such as j2ee, spring, jsf, hibernate and its related tools and IDEs.
Also there is info abt modules on which i have worked in.
Is that sufficient for claiming my points for MODL (j2ee)?

Hello there,

I m also in same boat but with some problem.

I got total 5 yrs n 4 months of experience. out of it 2.5 yrs. of exp as .NET Specialist. I applied for ACS assessment in May-09 as .NET SPECIALIST. But I got positive assessment as SOFTWARE PROGRAMMER ASCO CODE : 2231-19 instead of 2231-79(.NET SPECIALIST )

I am afraid that 2231-19 is not in CSL List. So, my priority rank comes in 6th rank instead of 2nd.

So, pls guide me , what should I do now ???

I already gave IELTS exam on 9th Jan. and I want to apply for Family sponsored Visa Sub class - 176 , But with "CSL". So my priority can be changed from 6th to 2nd.

So, pls guide me , what should I do now ???

Please guide me for this .

Waiting for reply,

Hi,
Do you have 4 years of ITC experience in .NET Technologies? If yes then have you included you last 4 years job responsibilities, and the technologies you used in this period?

My assumption is they nominated you not as .NET Specialist because you dont have 4 years of experience in .NET technologies.
