Default Recent working experience - subclasss 175

Hi ,

Under new legislation for recent work experience requirement, applicant must provide evidence that we have been in paid employment in SOL for at least 12/24 immediately before applying.

If someone nominate 50 point occupation (positive skill assesmment from vetassess based on the qualification. For example. marketing occupation) and have been emplyoed on occupation which worth 60 point under skilled. ( for example . Computer professional (NEC) ). Do we need to submit a skill assessment for the 60 point occupation in which we gained work experience to meet recent work experience requirement under subclass 175?

Cheers,

But if you're assessed as a 60 pointer, why would you want to nominate the 50 points occupation?

Some of my friends, he was graduated in Marketing in degree but he did some courses previously in courses related to IT so that the reason why he been employed in IT specialist for one year. His concern is under the new legislation his nominated occupation for immigration is Marketing specialists with worth 50 points but his recent work experience is IT specialist (60 points) in which emplyer has no problem to issue him a work reference.

His concern is...just work reference is enough for the evidence to meet the recent work experience requirement ? or will he must to do assess his working experience with ACS which he can't do that as he can't meet the seven years working experience.

Please advise

In that case, I believe your friend fulfills the criteria like this:
a) skills assessment: 50 points (Marketing)
b) recent work experience: 12 months

If I'm wrong, someone correct me!

Hi ,

Thanks Janice for the information but....my friend He is concerning about his skilled work experience in an occupation other than the nominated occupation as his skilled work experience is worth 60 points but his nominated occupation is worth 50.....any exception for his case to meet the recent work requirement subclass 175 under the new legislation ?

Anyone help to clarify the term "Recent work experience" in details ? any exception ? He had read through the booklet 6 and on DIAC website but still in doubt about the above issues.

Thanks,

Maybe your friend can contact an agent if he is not sure. Most will give a free initial consultation

Because it's often simpler to get a 50 point assessment. This option is d0-able but complicated and should be done with professional assistance.

Thanks for all your information.

Maybe I advise him to see some migration agents. But I m wondering one thing that why DIAC won't put the fully details for eligibility and exception for "recent work experience" on booklet or on the website. Easy and simple.

However,

I m curious about one little thing for some cases some new application for 175 had Australian working experiences for occupation worth 60 points but the qualification that they uses to immigrate worths 50 points( which is simpler than to get a positive skill assesmment).....why IMMI want to assess "WORKING EXPERIENCE IN AUSTRALIA" .... assess Australian working experience to be equivalent to the Australian standards ?......it sound ridiculous to me .

As the term "recent work experience" means any job under skilled anywhere in this world !!!!!!

Cheers,
