That was quick....
Hello All,
I have just woken up to a lovely email from IMMI saying my visa has been granted. We only submitted the application just before xmas and did the medicals on Saturday! Wow. I thought it was a waiting game now but they have processed us amazingly quickly!
ACS Skills Assessment Submitted-263111 (Computer Network and Systems Engineer) : 11/10/2016
ACS Granted : 25/10/2016
IELTS Exam Sitting : 29/10/2016
IELTS Results : 9/11/2016
EOI Submitted : 12/11/2016
Invitation to Apply : 21/12/216
189 Application Submitted : 21/12/2016
Medicals : 7/1/17
Visa Grant : 11/1/17 !!!!!
Anyway, I've got an email covering for me and one for my partner but not for the kids. If I login to IMMI, it shows all 5 of us have Visa Granted as the status. Do we get a visa grant letter for the kids? Is this normal? Should I chase up for a written confirmation of the kids having a visa?
Thanks to all on here for your help over the last few months. The forum has been super helpful and answered most questions with a simple search without me having to post my own query!
Thanks
Dan

Congratulations! Let the adventure begin! I'd just do a screen print showing the kids also have visa granted - just in case.

Thanks. I have gathered a screen print. However, does anyone know if children don't get their own visa grant letter please?
I don't want any hiccoughs going through immigration after a 25 - 30 hour flight when we get our stuff together and go!
Cheers
Dan

Re: That was quick....
Back in the day (2010), I only received a grant email addressed to myself as the applicant, with my wife and kids listed next to their visa grant numbers. I think that is all you will get.
A copy of the email should be fine as evidence if there are any system glitches at the departure airport

Hi Dan,
Firstly, massive congrats! Secondly, did you use an agent or do it all yourself? My partner and I are in early stages (he has his IELTS in a couple of weeks) and still uncertain whether to get an agent or DIY it.

Hi Dan,
I have read your post about IT contracting and getting the experience letters from agencies/end clients. I am in similar boat. Where did you get the reference/experience letter at the end? Could you please send me the list of docs you sent to ACS?
Thanks in advance.
