Default Question re Draughtsman/Metal Fabricator - 175 Visa

Hi All

My husband worked as a Metal Fabricator for about 10 years. For the past 2 years he has retrained as a Draughtsman (Drafter) with the same company. In terms of the 175 Visa that we would be applying for - I think one of the conditions is that you work 12 out of the past 24 months in the job which is on the SOL/MODL! For him, this is the Metal Fabricator job which he hasnt worked in since the end of 2007.
I would basically like to know if the 2 jobs are considered to be 'closely related'? I was hoping that they would be because he is with the same company and it is working in the same industry (shipbuilding). Or will he need to go back to working as a Metal Fabricator for a year??

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
