Just wondering if I need a police check for all countries I have lived in? I spent 9 months of 2004 in Azerbaijan and obtaining a police check from here will be next to impossible. Do I need one, or is there a time line sort of thing, like because I lived there less than a year it doesn't count sort of thing.....or is this wishful thinking on my part?

I'm pretty sure it is just places where ou have lived for 12 months or more within the last 10 years.

This is the "letter of the law" in terms of how it is written in the forms on DIMIA's web site, but apparently the case officers sometimes ask for PCCs for countries where you might have spent a significant amount of time even if it is less that a year. I recall someone on here had to get one from somewhere even though they only lived there for 11 months, so longer than you, but still less than a year.
