Prospective Marriage - What Next ?
Hi everyone,
I'm maybe jumping the gun a bit, as I haven't had an acceptance yet. But as I seem to have completed all the documents requested of me and am hopeful of the decision, what I am wondering is what happens next between being accepted and getting married ?
Do I have to send my passport in or is the visa granted electronically ?
Do I have any further documents to sign during this period ?
Will I be fully covered to start applying for jobs from this point ?
When I arrive at the airport, will I sail through in the same time as for an ETA or should I be ready for a lot more/less questions ?

If you havent sent in your passport in with your application then you'll be requested it on award of your visa for evidencing.
Unless you've missed something out, theres nothing further to sign at that point in time.
As far as I'm aware it pros visa gives you full work rights upon grant.
I havent arrived on the visa myself yet, but I can't see why you'd get any more/less questions than on an ETA. I've entered Australia a few times on ETA/WHV and it just seems to depend on who's sat at the desk to the amount of questions you have asked of you.

You enter in the same queue as on an ETA and the process is exactly the same - except you have rather more belongngs to keep track off! Don't expect a red carpet, but you might get a Welcome to Australia if you're lucky!!
